Loose Cannon Theater: Grapes of Laugh
Once again, the award-winning long-form improv troupe Loose Cannon Theater takes part in the NEA Big Read, in cooperation with Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries, the Santa Cruz Public Libraries, and Santa Cruz Writes. This time, take a trip with us from Oklahomy to Central Calyforny; we'll be loadin' up our comedic gear and setting' up camp onstage as we spin an original yarn about The Great Anti-Depression, with wacky characters, action-packed stories, spontaneous songs, sound effects and more.inspired by your suggestions and John Steinbeck's classic novel, The Grapes of Wrath.
Playing to sellout Santa Cruz audiences since 1996, Loose Cannon Theater creates hilarious, original full-length plays from true stories and audience prompts. The current Loosies are Jennifer Cass, Dixie Cox, Tish Eastman (Musical Director), Mischa Felix, Jim Gallas, Tim Gillet, Clifford Henderson, Duke Houston, Tawn Kennedy, Eric Schneider, Carol Skolnick and Marilyn Yaqub.
