Our funny gay males honour an original funny gay male.
Bob Smith was a pioneer in queer comedy. He was the first openly gay comic on the Tonight Show, a member of the comedy troupe The Funny Gay Males, a prolific writer (Treehab, Remembrance of Things I Forgot, Openly Bob, Way to Go Smith, Selfish and Perverse) and a proud Dad. He was also one of the nicest people in the world. He fought long and hard against ALS, writing his final book by using an alphabet board. The doctors gave him 18 months to live. He survived and thrived for almost ten years. Bob Smith was a pioneer and a fighter right until the end.
Come celebrate Bob's life as we show some of his best clips, pay him tribute and run a comedy contest with some up and coming funny gay males doing their best material AND one twist on their favourite Bob joke.
Hosted by Paul Bellini: Featuring, Vong Sundara, Brendon D'Souza, Kyle Brownrigg, Nicky Nasrallah, and Anders Yates Special Guest Appearance by: Richard Ryder
