About The Heathens of Comedy:
Lee Mays:
Founder of The Heathens of Comedy, Lees biting takes on celebrities, current events, and whatever else gets on his nerves have amassed him quite the cult following. Lees online jokes have gone viral and have been featured in many online publications and have caught the attention of the infamous tabloid TMZ, who regularly request his appearance on their television program, TMZ Live. Lees in-your-face, fearless style has earned him the respect and laughs of his peers and audiences all over. Lee is also an in-demand comedy writer who contributes to various online comedy websites such as The Humor Times and has written material for nationally touring comedians. Lee is also an activist, having organized comedy shows for various anti-bullying, animal welfare, cancer, children, and LGBT charities. Lee has worked with many nationally touring comedians such as Donnie Baker, Greg Hahn, James Inman, Rich Ragins, Carlos Valencia, Carmen Morales, Vic Clevenger, Mary Tischbein, Brian Bargainer, and many others. Steve Pops Gaines: Steve Gaines is a husband of 20 years, father of 8, daytime punching bag for Corporate America & a little league soccer coach. Hes the father of the year on the outside, but on the inside, hes a raging lunatic who takes the stage to get his revenge on a world that takes itself far too seriously. A Club & Touring veteran whose worked with the likes of Christopher Titus, TVs Kevin Meaney, John Hinton, James Inman, Vince Morris, & Vic Clevenger to name a few, Pops discusses marriage, fatherhood, the miseries of life in a cubicle, bad family members, reality television, cowboys, & the pathetic American government. Youre angry, but not scary angry. Like a guy who worked all week and all he wants is a steak and a beer and the waitress is taking her sweet time, youve been sitting there for 20 minutes & all of the weeks rage from taking everybodys crap is slowly boiling to the top. Keith Terry Michael Moore: Michael Moore drags you into his nerdy world of comedy by talking about video games and comic books, recounting stories of growing up in a large military family, taking a couple jabs at an evil doing ex and finding the humor in a life altering childhood injuryall while exposing his sexuality on stage. Dont tell Dad! Michael is also trying his hand at the acting game. Whether hes successful or notyou decide. You can catch him playing Mister Zero in the Redbox zombie film Six Feet Below Hell and as Lucifer in the upcoming female empowerment film Black Mamba Rising, coming to Redbox in 2018. Bobbie Jo Stevens: Bobbie Jo Stevens was born funny. Originally from Elliot County, Kentucky, she was a sickly child who stood out from the norm in the Bluegrass State by not liking basketball, the Kentucky derby, and country music. She was dropped in this life craving coffee and petting kitties, and shares stories from her unique country upbringing, which always leave audiences laughing.
