The WI Sustainable Business Council, in partnership with Cool Choices and Lands' End, will present a morning forum featuring experts on supply chain sustainability issues. This will be followed by the Sustainable Business Awards Ceremony over lunch.
The awards are designed to recognize businesses for their efforts in developing innovative products, processes, and business models.
The event will take place on June 1st, and will be hosted by Lands' End in Dodgeville.
The forum will address sustainability issues within the supply chain of both business to business and business to consumer businesses. Supply chain sustainability issues are both asked about in the Green Masters application, and are also one of the hot topics for businesses around the state. Many companies are receiving questionnaires or inquiries from their customers, asking about tracking information on environmental and/or social issues.
We'll present senior managers from Oshkosh Corporation to talk about their work with their supply chain. We'll look at the types of information sought by Oshkosh, and how this is translated and passed on to their suppliers.
You'll also hear about unique and innovative ways to acquire information from a supply chain, and we'll seek to share experiences from progress being made by attendees. You'll be better prepared to advise management on how to answer questionnaires that are received, and how to work with your own supply chain.
