The Young Bucks at Mr. Henry's
Coming up Sunday, May 13th Mr. Henry's of Capitol Hill is proud to present Ed Jones & the Young Bucks Band at 5:00 for a special Mother's Day show.
Featuring Eddie Jones on vocals, Johnnell Gray on keys, Les Campbell on bass, Emmitt Queen on guitar, Eddie Kornegay on Sax, Action Jack Gomillion on drums, Freddie Frazier on percussion, along with Earl Jones and Patti Jones, The Young Bucks Band is a highly energetic and deeply funky band with dynamic lead vocalists that also come together in sweet harmony on the music so many grew up on-- R&B, soul, funk, rock, and Motown. With over forty years of experience in the business, this group of musicians creates an undeniably electrifying impact onstage with harmony and instruments sure to fill a room.
They feature musicians that have worked with soul and R&B legends such as Pookie Hudson and the Spaniels, the Orioles, Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, Major Harris, The Jewels, Peaches and Herb, Heatwave, The Dynamic Superiors, and the Jive Five, just for starters. They have appeared throughout the US infectiously entertaining private clients and huge crowds both alone and alongside other successful artists.
Their dynamic group of talented musicians have remained strong for over forty years, spanning a wide range of musical backgrounds propelling them to venues such as the Kennedy Center, the Howard Theatre, the Lyric Opera House, Camden Yards, the Birchmere, Carter Baron, the Lincoln Theatre, and now, Mr. Henry's.
The show begins at 5:00 PM with the doors opening for the show at 3:30. Tickets, priced at $25, include not just a seat for the show but a meal from our event menu. Our upstairs bar will also be open for beverages beyond the event menu's offerings.
We look forward to your joining us for this special show!
