Cedar Teeth: Hailing from the Cascade foothills of Oregon that form a clear-cut divide between Portland and the surrounding wilderness, the five members of genre bending roots troupe Cedar Teeth first emerged in 2014, with the rollicking debut album, Hoot.
On their 2017 EP, Farewell To Green Mountain, Cedar Teeth confidently explore everything from indie rock and grunge to folk and bluegrass, highlighting the diversity inspired by their lives on the dividing line of societal opposites. The group of multi-instrumentalists provides an ever changing backdrop from song to song that support tales of love and war, and everything in between. Leaning heavily on traditional backwoods harmony, Cedar Teeth makes complex song structures and inspired, off-kilter melodies sound subtly familiar. Farewell to Green Mountain is immediately relatable despite its personally inspired tales that provide the group with a direct line to their audiences emotions.
