The age old human need that doesn't discriminate...sadly something that feels so good to give and receive, seems to be in short supply these days...

Into the Blue*
Dir. Antoneta Alamat Kusijanovic (Croatia / Slovenia / Sweden 2017) 22min 8s
trailer:

Thirteen-year-old Julija and her mother flee their abusive household to find refuge on an idyllic Croatian island where Julija grew up. Emotionally scarred, Julija is desperate to reconnect with her best friend, Ana. But Ana is in love with a boy and Julija is no longer a priority. Ana's mounting rejection re-ignites Julija's wounds and family history, awakening the monster of violence she thought she's left behind.

There is something about this film and our feature 'Wind' that just captures that feeling of endless summer and burning desire for love and to feel alive. When our hearts eclipse our minds. AN

The Blue Fish
Dir. Aram Vidal (Mexico/Cuba 2017) 28 min

A simultaneous trip between the memories and present-day of Ernesto, leads us into fragments of his past life in Cuba next to Clara, while he survives in an exile without meaning.

Hide and Seek
Dir. Beno Gabor Baranyi  (Hungary 2017) 14min 11s

Directors statement:

The story takes place with a poor family in Hungary.
The main character is Matyi, a 7-year-old boy.  He loves to play hide and seek, but he
knows no bounds. He is constantly hiding somewhere to his parents' annoyance and he doesnt come out even when the entire family is looking for him.

He was their 5th child and his mother did not intend to have him.
However, the father is very fond of the boy, but one day his father disappeared and his mother was left alone with his undisciplined child.
We made this short film in original poor locations with amateur actors.
This is based on a true story.

The Brewer
Dir. Jiajing Bao (China/Taiwan 2017) 30mins

The story of a young photographer traveling in Taipei and his romantic encounter with a female beer brewer. Your traditional story of serendipity and being in the right place at the right time...while being in awareness when that magic moment happens.
