n a close-knit Russian family, a new invisible member of it has appeared. Now Mom has faith in the President of Russia so much, that in her eyes he becomes the head of their family. But there is one problem - her son doesnt share these beliefs. Maybe the New Year's night will help to resolve their conflict?

RINGO ROCKET STAR and his song for Yuri Gagarin
Dir. Rene Nuijens (Netherlands/Serbia 2017) 10 min
Program: Silly Stuff

Super silly and fun...support a local Amsterdam short!

RINGO ROCKET STAR and his song for Yuri Gagarin is a dry tragic musical comedy (short) film about a gipsy guy who does think he can be famous by writing a song for the first man in the space 'YURI GAGARIN'...

He may not be very talented, but Ringo does follow his dreams to completion by creating an original musical work of art and performing it in his hometown.  From his Freddie Mercury mustache to his homemade Lunar Rover, you may ask the question "is this guy for real?" after watching this film.  But hopefully, you'll also enjoy the creative simplicity of the film.  It is short and sweet, and all-around delightful.

We are the Freak Show

A bingo game. An allegorical, wild and humorous portrait. An homage to eccentricity and entertainment, to those things that remain unchanged.
