Growing up in the 80s, the suburbs were exciting in cinematic screen space: E.T., The 'Burbs, The Breakfast Club et al... But as now as an adult looking back was it ever so? Or has it evolved into an endless channel of mediocrity and dull hum-drum routine? Did Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin nefariously plant images of fun at the work place into our heads? The filmmakers of 8:30 aesthetically capture the "infinite loop" of the suburban existence post 1980s!
