Seunghee Lee (Sunny) is a multi-faceted musician, international recording artist, and musical entrepreneur, who brings a vivacious energy, an exquisite elegance and extraordinary precision to all her endeavors.
Ms. Lee's recent exploration of cinema music led to an unprecedented collaboration with the world-renowned Andrea Morricone, the composer of the timeless Love Theme from Cinema Paradiso. She appeared with Maestro Morricone in a full length concert, which he conducted and especially wrote for Ms. Lee, world-premiere arrangements for clarinet and orchestra of the "Love Theme" from Cinema Paradiso, his father Ennio Morricone's "Gabriel's Oboe", Nino Rotas "The Godfather and other works.
At her core, Ms. Lee is passionate about using her music to bring comfort and healing to those silently suffering from personal tragedies. She is the founder of Concert for Cause, an intimate private home-concert series dedicated to shining a light on current humanitarian issues and on the worthy organizations working to resolve them.
Ms. Lee has released five albums, her first, Brava, was featured as one of Top 30 Classical Stars Under 30 by San Franciscos KDFC Classical Radio. Ms. Lee followed her initial recording success with four albums, which have been featured on classical musical stations around the world.
Ms Lee's 2017-2018 season included a tour of Northern Italy, performing the Mozart Clarinet Concerto, visiting professor at the Yale School of Music and a sold out debut at Carnegie Hall. She received her bachelor of music degree from the Eastman School of Music and her Master of Music Degree and Artists Diploma from the Yale School of Music.
