Not kings and lords but nations. Not thrones and crowns but men.
After another critically acclaimed season in 2017 Queens Shakespeare, in partnership with What Dreams May Co., returns to the stage for presentations of Godspell (Book: John Michael Tebelak, Music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz) and Henry IV by William Shakespeare (parts I and II combined). Join us for a season of epic stories. First up, Godspell. Director Christina Sheehans modern revolutionary inspired design explores a diverse group with many modern voices of resistance who come together with one visionary leader to form a community, and ultimately learn how to make their own light shine. This popular musical retelling of the Gospel of Matthew brings its messages of kindness, tolerance and love vibrantly to life. We invite you to join the tribe, as they work together in the hope of building theirBeautiful City.
