Spouse, The Fawns, & Ex-Temper at the Stone Church
Sell the Silver sees indie-rock veterans SPOUSE return after a seven-year hiatus with their familiar brand of dynamic, mid-tempo rock intact. Where their last full-length, Confidence (2010), was an examination of self-reliance, direction, and loss, the bands latest offering is all about collapse, change, and self-control. For this project, José Ayerve and J.J. OConnell joined forces with Peyton Pinkerton (New Radiant Storm King) and Dup Crosson (Saint Solitude) to write, record, and produce five new additions to the SPOUSE catalog. The tracks were engineered by Pinkerton and Ayerve and mastered by Mark Alan Miller (Sonelab).
The Fawns play the rock songs of leader Lesa Bezo. They are: Henning Ohlenbusch, Brian Marchese, Max Germer, and Ken Maiuri. The Fawns are proud to call Northampton their home and they are members of the Rub Wrongways Records songwriting collaborative.
Infectious, well-crafted songs... lush harmonies and bright guitar sound ...Bezo proves that she is capable of creating the kind of hooks that pull you in on the first listen." - Sheryl Hunter Greenfield Recorder
Another valley favorite Ex-Temper provides angular, dynamic alt-rock with heavy grooves, intricate melodies and fuzzy, head-banging riffs.
