Deepak Ram is a versatile artist who is well known for his evocative performances in traditional North Indian (Hindustani) classical music, his collaborations with musicians of other genres, and his innovative compositions. Deepak is a delightful and captivating performer, combining technical mastery with personal charm. Deepak has 9 solo albums to his credit and as a session musician can be heard on over 60 albums. His bansuri can also be heard on movie soundtracks, such as The Fast And The Furious, Matrix Revolutions, India, Kingdom of the Tiger, Stealth and Before The Rains.He has performed in the United States of America (where he is currently based), South Africa, India, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Austria, Germany, Lebanon, Turkey, Taiwan and Holland and had the honor of accompanying his teacher, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, in Geneva, London and Paris. Srivani Jade has five solo albums to her credit, and several grants, artist residencies and awards, including the Washington State Arts Commission Fellowship Award (2009) and an NEA grant for her musical composition work on the existential love poetry of Meera Bai (Astitva, 2011). She has composed and recorded theme vocals for independent films such as Tapasya (2003), Siddhanto (2014) and stage productions such as Indian Ink (Sound Theater Company). She is an auditioned artist with All India Radio, and Visiting Artist with the University of Washington School of Music's Ethnomusicology program. Vivek Datar is a well-known harmonium player based in the Bay Area. He has learned from late Pt. Vinayakrao Kale from Gwalior Gharana for about eight years and has been accompanying for more than 25 years. Vivek has accompanied several renowned artists like Veena Sahasrabuddhe, Padma Talwalkar, Madhav Gudi, Nagraj Hawaldar, and Shounak Abhisheki. His interests lie in the field of tuning theory and application.
Ravi Albright is a professional tabla player and the Executive Director of Seattle Tabla Institute and Adjunct Professor of Tabla at Lewis & Clark college in Portland, OR. Born in Seattle, Ravi is one of only a few ganda-banda ( formally recognized ) disciples of Pandit Anindo Chatterjee of Kolkata, India. In 2006 he was initiated into the Farukhabad Gharana, one of India's traditional schools of tabla playing. Ravi has performed with India's most accomplished musicians such as Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ut. Shahid Parvez Khan, Pt. Tejendra Majumdar, Pt. Nayan Ghosh and many others. RaviAlbright.com
