After Show Talk Back of Rent Boy Musical
Jon Coleman, a British Historian from the University of Kentucky, is hosting a post-show round table discussion on March 24th at the Richmond Shepard Theatre. His d Ph.D dissertation on same-sex prostitution is titled "For Rent: Same-Sex Prostitution in Modern Britain." He will be joined by Katie Hindmarch-Watson from Johns Hopkins University, who also writes on rent boys. They will be in New York City attending the 2013 Mid-Atlantic Conference on British Studies, March 22-25. Their panel is titled "Baring the Flesh: Sex Work in Modern Britain." They are scholars working on modern forms of sex work, and rent boys in particular, and they have offered their services to moderate musical showcase after-the-show "talk back."
