Willy Mason / The Horse Eyed Men at The Stone Church
Willy Mason Willy Mason is an easy character to romanticize. The direct descendent of philosopher William James (the brother of Henry James) and the son of two folk singers, Mason was only 19 when he released his first album, 2004s Where the Humans Eat. His single Oxygen, an unpretentious anti-materialism ode to the forgotten America, announced him as a fresh face of folk and peaked at Number 23 on the UK charts. Three years later, he released If the Ocean Gets Rough. Then, after years of touring, Mason took a break and returned to his hometown, Marthas Vineyard. Mason continues to record and release new music and has toured with Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros among others.

The Horse Eyed Men The Horse-Eyed Men are a family band who play original, disgruntled Americana and country music. Raised by musical humans in a former candy store outside of Providence R.I., they have played for years throughout Europe and the U.S. under various monikers: The Cowboy Killers, The Rosewater Ladies, Tik Tok Laboratories, and recently with Spirit Family Reunion. Their music mixes spaghetti-western themes with cabaret, ragtime, and post-partum punk. Their first studio album, Grave Country, was recorded in Copenhagen on a grant from the Danish Arts Council. An EP on Jalopy Records Seven Inch Series and a new studio album recorded in Berlin Germany, The Uncanny Valley, are due out in 2018.
