Shelagh McKay Jones - Singer/Songwriter at AMC @ UCC
The Greenock-based local luminary tells stories of love, life, laughter with well-crafted songs. Performing both a capella and accompanied in her percussive guitar style, Shelagh has won awards at Inverclyde's Scottish Folk & Roots Festival, the Danny Kyle Open Stage (Celtic Connections) and shared stages with Alastair McDonald, Gaberlunzie, Rab Noakes, Archie Fisher, Jez Lowe, James Keelaghan, Sylvia Barnes, Siobhan Miller, James Grant and Maisie Peters. Shelagh is the founder/organiser/presenter/promoter of the SongWriters Uncovered series (Greenock's Beacon Arts Centre) plus Permission to Sing & Freedom with SongWriting workshops in Inverclyde. Traditional, celtic, folk, roots, Americana, world-fusion.
