About La Misa Negra;
La Misa Negra is a 7-piece band from Oakland, California, known for their unique blend of heavyweight cumbia and high-energy, Afro-Latin music. On stage, they deliver an electrifying performance that explodes with infectious dance grooves and punk rock energy, powered by horn and accordion-driven riffs, a fierce rhythm section, and a vintage-inspired sound. Since their live debut in the fall of 2011, La Misa Negra has toured the country, sharing stages and festival bills with the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stevie Wonder, Lenny Kravitz, Thievery Corporation, SZA, Mon Laferte, Julieta Venegas, Ana Tijoux, Bomba Estereo, George Clinton, Antibalas, Budos Band, and Ozomatli. On the strength of their wild and one-of-a-kind shows, they have gained a reputation as one of the most exciting live bands to emerge from the Bay Area in recent years, garnering a diverse fan base that transcends musical, cultural, and generational divides.

Biography
The Champions Inc are a high energy 7 piece band from Northern California that plays Soulful Jamaican Oldies. Their brand of Reggae, Rocksteady and Ska infused with Northern Soul and R & B is like nothing you have heard before, they play a variety of original tunes and give classic covers a new twist.
In the 4 years they have been making music they have shared the stage with first wave 60s Jamaican artists such as Norma Frasier, Derrick Morgan, The Skatalites and Derrick Harriot. The Champions have also supported great Second Wave 80s and 90s acts including The English Beat, The Untouchables and Roddy Radiation of The Specials and Contemporary revivalists such as Hepcat. They are a very unique group , in that have played with streetpunk bands like the Templars, The Reducers and the very next month with Cumbia bands like Very Be Careful and Northern Soul legends like Dean Parrish. They even played with Fountains of Wayne!
Their International following reaches across the globe from Europe to South America. Their music is becoming a staple in the underground reggae community and amongst DJs throughout the world playing new revivalist 60s music.
The group has stayed true to its mission to celebrate their favorite music and their sound has developed into a rich diverse authentic expression of 60s Jamaica and Englands favorite youth club sounds.
