2018 Best Jazz Artist - San Diego Music Awards
San Diego jazz pianist Danny Green has earned recognition as a bandleader and as a composer with a gift for spinning supple, absorbing narratives. His enchanting mix of jazz, classical, and Brazilian rhythms has captured the attention of critics around the world, including DownBeat Magazine, Jazziz, the Boston Globe, and Public Radio International. An Origin Records recording artist, Green has earned two San Diego Music awards for Best Jazz Album. Building on his acclaimed 2016 album Altered Narratives, which included several tracks pairing his longtime trio with strings, One Day It Will is a full chamber jazz melding of his working band and a highly responsive string quartet. Green celebrates his new release with a special performance at Panama 66 featuring his Trio Plus Strings.
