How to Apply for an Artist Grant / Ellensburg

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
This workshop provides an overview of applying for artist grants from Artist Trust Program Coordinator Zach Frimmel and artist and PUNCH Projects board member Renee Adams. You'll learn about funding opportunities available for you and your projects, how the grantmaking process works, and tips to make your next application stand out. Renee will also discuss applying for grants from the artist perspective and upcoming opportunities with PUNCH Projects.

*This workshop is open to artists of all disciplines who are interested in applying for GAP and hearing more about opportunities for artists in Central Washington.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:
Renee Adams received a BFA in metalsmithing from Colorado State University and an MFA in sculpture from Central Washington University. She was a founding member of PUNCH Gallery, an artist-run space in downtown Seattle, WA, and a board member of PUNCH Projects, a rural arts collective based in Central WA. Renees work has been exhibited at numerous galleries and venues, including Seattle Arts Fair, the Frye Art Museum, Chase Gallery (Spokane); and Confluence Art Gallery (Twisp). She's the recipient of a Jentel Residency Award and a three-time Artist Trust GAP recipient.

ABOUT THE VENUE:
The venue for this event is wheelchair accessible and can be accessed by public transportation. The venue has identified as a non-scent-free space with gendered bathrooms. This event is service dog friendly and child friendly, but child care will not be provided. Also, if you do plan to bring your child please keep in mind that certain topics and language may not be appropriate for children.
