Savage Umbrella's WOLF SONG Workshop Presentation
WOLF SONG: A Workshop Presentation
April 23 & 24, 2018 at Squirrel Haus Arts 3450 Snelling Ave S Minneapolis, MN 55406
Conceived by Megan Clark Directed by Megan Clark and Alana Horton Created with Savage Umbrella and the ensembles
Featuring: Morgen Chang, Emily Dussault, Foster Johns, Laura Leffler, Antonia Perez, Eli Purdom, Nick Wolf
Inspired by the Scandinavian Volsunga Saga, WOLF SONG explores themes of supernatural power, divided loyalty, and revenge. Audiences might recognize elements of this epic story from Wagner's RING CYCLE, Ibsen's THE VIKINGS AT HELGELAND, and Tolkien's LORD OF THE RINGS, but Savage Umbrella turns the tale on its head... and hands it over to the women. Join us for a story of fate, fire, strange magic, and poison words.
Tickets are sliding scale $5 - $20 in advance and at the door. You pick your own price!

WHAT IS A WORKSHOP PRESENTATION?
Savage Umbrella believes the audience (thats you!) is a vital part of the creation process. Thats why we invite you into the messy parts, the unfinished work. Together, we are so much more, and we can create art that reflects pieces of ourselves: our joys, our fears, our stories. After the work-in-progress showing, we invite you to lend your voice to the new play making process through our signature audience conversations.
All audience members are invited to participate in the conversation, or just listen and write down thoughts on the surveys we provide! If post-show conversations aren't your thing... that's okay, too! We welcome feedback in whatever way is most comfortable to you.

ABOUT SAVAGE UMBRELLA
Savage Umbrella collaboratively creates new works of theater striving to engage artists and audiences in critical conversation. With lust for the uncharted and the unknown; we embrace and dissect the familiar. Savage Umbrella believes that theater is a vehicle for important and complex conversations about who we are, how we are, where we come from, and how we connect with each other. Together is better. Get under the umbrella.
