DisOrient 2018 98 Years* and Counting/Woke/Grass
98 Years and Counting: More Women Leaders Needed Everywhere (2018) Short Documentary  3 min.   English  USA  Co-Directed by Kirthi Nath and Zel Anders, Produced by Doris Bersing

98 Years and Counting: More Women Leaders Needed Everywhere is a call for and celebration of women's leadership, as well as a stark look at the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in the United States in 2018. We went into the field and asked women at the Oakland Women's march - what kind of women do you want to see in leadership? What are the values you want to see reflected? How can we be the ones we have been waiting for? The film is the first in a series about womens leadership.

Woke  (2017)  Short Narrative - 10:30 min   English  USA
Directed and Written by Venk Potula

A man and a woman meet by chance on a hot day in a park in the city of Atlanta. Sunny is a Pakistani-American wannabe rapper in search of some inspiration. Rebecca is an African-American activist on the run from a rent-a-cop. He lends her a helping hand, and soon the two are caught in a furious debate about where art and identity intersect.

Grass (2016) Feature Narrative -  65 min   English USA
Directed by Tanuj Chopra

Sundance alum Tanuj Chopra reinvents stoner cinema with this hilarious, 'Broad City-esque' female arthouse comedy. Good girl Cam's got a problem: she has to deliver a backpack full of weed for her drug-dealing fiancé. When she seeks help from her best friend, pothead slacker Jinky, the duo find themselves stranded in a park, contemplating love, life, and pizza.
