"Eye Of The Tiger" LIVE in Ellijay!!!
In 1983, Sylvester Stallone approached an up-and-coming rock band and asked them to write a theme song to his upcoming movie, Rocky III. Little did they know at that time that this request would lead to one of the most iconic rock anthems of all time, "Eye Of The Tiger", which propelled Survivor into the rock and roll stratosphere, and spent SEVEN WEEKS on top of the Billboard Hot 200 Chart.
In an incredibly exclusive engagement, Firefly Music and Gilmer Arts are THRILLED to present the original voice of "Eye Of The Tiger" and former lead singer of Survivor, the legendary ROCK STAR who brought this epic song to life, the one and only Dave Bickler, LIVE in concert on Saturday, May 26th! Prepare yourselves for one of the very best concerts you'll ever see anywhere, right here in North Georgia!!
This phenomenal show will be held at the beautiful George Link, Jr. Gilmer Arts Playhouse, at which Gilmer Arts has hosted its legendary series of live music for years. Tickets are limited, and WILL SELL OUT!
Additionally, a very small number of VIP Meet & Greet/Platinum Seating tickets will be available, which give you access to the best seats in the house, and include a special meet & greet reception with Dave before the show. A warning, though- those will go even faster than the regular tickets!
Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of North GA, an incredible organization which does so much to support at-risk youth in our community and provide them with constructive, uplifting ways to rise above their challenging circumstances and become the best human beings they can be. So come out and enjoy an amazing night of live music, and support a great cause while you're at it!
Lastly, we will be encouraging guests to dig deep into your closet and pull out your most outlandish, most extravagant, and most flamboyant tiger striped outfits (don't pretend like you don't have any!). Rocky-inspired boxing shorts with satin boxing/bathrobes will also be considered appropriate attire in lieu of tiger stripes. A special prize will be given to the our favorite outfit (or pair/group of outfits). Going to be a blast!
