Music in Corrales Season 32 (2018-19) - 8 Concerts
The 32nd season of Music in Corrales promises to continue our mission of enriching our community with great music. The range of artists and music provides something for everyone all selected to delight and inspire you.
The season begins in September with Bettman & Halpin, a folk/Americana duo. October brings Sybarite 5, a string quintet with an eclectic repertoire. Multi-cultural septet Baracutanga arrives in November, combining ancient South American rhythms with modern musical ideas. Kicking off the holiday season is Washington Saxophone Quartet, the most widely heard saxophone quartet in the United States.
In January, male vocal ensemble Cantus comes to the Old San Ysidro Church for a wide-ranging concert of vocal music. Western singer/songwriter Dave Stamey -- newest member of the Western Music Hall of Fame -- shares his unique songs and stories in February. We wrap up the season with two solo classical artists: pianist Katie Mahan appears in March, and guitarist Berta Rojas in April.
