BIO
SOLVEI
Solvei hails from Norway with strong Latin, Native American and Scottish roots.
Her career started as a dancer with Sir Elton John.
She moved to Los Angeles in 2000 where she has won critical acclaim for her show "PASIÓN".
A household name in her own country, as well as on the Los Angeles music scene,
Solvei continues to write her own material and she has produced eight top selling albums released on her own label.
In 2010 the Norwegian network television station, TV Norge, featured Solvei's music and career in the 8 part documentary "YES we love Hollywood!".
An avid yoga practitioner and healer, Solvei also produces music for yoga and trance and occasionally guest performs with
The William Eaton Ensemble as well as with 6 time Grammy nominee, Will Clipman from the R.Carlos Nakai Trio, which resulted in the duo album "
WORLDS WITHIN", where they explore the two most ancient instruments of all - the voice and the drum.
Solvei's music is sold internationally and her music is frequently heard on KJAZZ, KPFK and KCRW as well as on international stations.
