Planetary Radio Live Featuring Emily Lakdawalla & Her New Book
Please join us for a reception in honor of our Senior Editor and Planetary Evangelist and Planetary Society blogger Emily Lakdawalla to celebrate the release of her first book, "The Design and Engineering of Curiosity: How The Mars Rover Performs Its Job".
We'll start with some small bites and mingling, then a live taping of our enduringly popular Planetary Radio podcast. Host Mat Kaplan will interview Emily along with special guests Abigail Fraeman from the Planetary Science division at Caltech and Ashwin Vasavada, Mars Science Laboratory Scientist. The Planetary Society's Chief Scientist Bruce Betts will be on hand for the "What's Up?" segment of Planetary Radio.
Following the taping, Emily will sign copies of her book. (It will not be possible to purchase books at the event, so please make sure to pre-purchase your copy HERE and we'll have it for you to pick up at the event.)
