The 21st Century Classroom or It Aint Your Grandmothers Classroom -- Ed Cabrera

What are your grandchildren doing these days in high school? Is it that different from when you were in high school? You can find out with an inside look at the secondary school classroom of 2018 with your guide Ed Cabrera, a veteran of nearly 40 years of teaching.
You will learn about the challenges posed by ever changing regulations, advances in technology, societal changes and parental attitudes. In a breezy, fast-paced presentation filled with colorful stories, your instructor will take you through the typical day of a teacher. You will leave with a better understanding of the trials and rewards of a day with todays students.
Ed Cabrera has taught at Atascadero High School and, before that, at Perris High School (in Southern California). He also coached numerous sports and advised even more clubs in his teaching career spanning 4 decades.
