ARTIST INFO:
HANNAH PEEL The Northern Irish artist, singer and electronic composer Hannah Peel has collaborated with the likes of John Foxx, Paul Weller, The Magnetic North, Rae Morris, Erol Alkan and OMD. Her work includes her 2016 album Awake But Always, which was Observer Readers Album of the Year 2017, earning her the accolade of A latter day Delia Derbyshire and winning 'No.1 Electronic Album of the Year' by Electronic Sound Magazine. Her most recent album Mary Casio: Journey to Cassiopeia, released in 2017 is a seven-movement odyssey composed for analogue synthesizers and full, traditional 29-piece colliery brassband. Described by Mojo magazine as celestial, mysterious and awe-inspiring and the first album of its kind, it explores one person's journey to outer space by recounting the story of an unknown, elderly, pioneering, electronic musical stargazer and her lifelong dream to leave her terraced home in the mining town of Barnsley, South Yorkshire to see Cassiopeia for herself. www.hannahpeel.com

He has an MLitt in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow, received a New Writers Award from the Scottish Book Trust, and an Edwin Morgan Travel Bursary. He has taken part in translation projects through Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine, and travelled to India with the Commonwealth Poets.
