Zak Younger Banks at AMC @ UCC
Singer-songwriter Zak Younger Banks combines emotionally raw vocals, poetic lyrics and intricate fingerstyle guitar to create original and distinctive songs. Rooted in traditional music, Zak established himself on the Newcastle folk scene and is now studying at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire, Glasgow. With influences including Josh Tillman, Isaac Gracie, Hozier and Leonard Cohen, Zak has headlined and supported at venues including the Sage Gateshead, Bar Loco, Cluny 2, the Cumberland Arms and Think Tank, played with artists like Northern Company, Iona Fyfe, Tom Hickox and Eve Simpson, toured internationally with Folkestra and performed at the Edinburgh Fringe.
