Robert Moses' Kin presents DRAFT April 13-15 Fri-Sat 8pm, Sun 5pm
DRAFT is a performance project conducted by Robert Moses Kin launched in 2006. Featuring the solo performances of collaborative artists created with brief encounters with choreographer Robert Moses, the intention of the project is to extract essential movement and the unique individuality of each performer. The resultant works are as different as they are celebrations of the communities in which they are performed.
ABOUT ROBERT MOSES KIN: Since founding Robert Moses' Kin in 1995, Robert Moses has collaborated with a number of prominent dancers, musicians, composers, sculptors, authors, poets, and designers to realize the concept of dance as a unifying form of art, an art form that speaks broadly from a specific place. While touring nationally and creating over 80 original works, Robert Moses' Kin has earned a host of awards, including four Bay Area Isadora Duncan Awards (IZZIES), a Bay Guardian Outstanding Local Discovery Award in Dance (Goldie) and a San Francisco Weekly Black Box Award for Choreography.
Described by The Huffington Post as a visually delicious beast that never comes short of dazzling the senses, Robert Moses Kin has performed at Columbia College in Chicago, Cincinnati Dance Theater, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Fall for Dance/City Center, Bates Dance Festival, Colorado Dance Festival and Black Choreographers Moving Toward the 21st Century.
