St Catherine's Presents - 'Talking Trump' with Gary O'Donoghue
Gary O'Donoghue, BBC News Political Correspondent to Washington DC is on a flying visit to the UK and thanks to a staff connection, we are lucky enough to have him bring his unique perspective on Trump and White House politics to St Catherine's.
Whilst Westminster has dominated his career, he has worked as a journalist covering stories for BBC News in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the U.S. He has made many contributions to the Today programme on Radio 4, the BBC World Service and the BBC2 disability magazine programme From The Edge.
Politics is only part of the story though, Gary has played Blind Football for England, studied Philosophy and Modern Languages at Christ Church Oxford and covered the Kosovo war in Macedonia early in his career.
This is a unique chance to hear an insiders view on US politics. How will Trump shape America? What will the impact be on the US economy and race relations? How can his staff manage Trump's Presidency to best effect?
The lecture will start at 7.45pm in the Auditorium at St Catherine's School, Station Road, Bramley, Surrey GU5 0DF and costs £10 for adults and is free for students. The bar will be open from 7.15pm.
Book now as we expect a sell out! If you are a St Catherine's pupil, you will need to reserve your free ticket through this site.
