The Wooly presents Kids Create! at The Depot Event Space (April)
We are super excited to present art classes for local children led by local art enthusiasts.
The goal of this monthly series is to foster the joy of creating and imagining through art and expression. We are hoping to inspire Gainesville children, who may one day bolster Gainesville's art scene as an adult.
The second class will be led by artist/musician Waylon Thornton (https://theheavyhands.bandcamp.com/).
In the April edition of Kids Create!, we will explore the work of Jean Michel Basquiat through the book "Life Doesn't Frighten Me at All," written by Maya Angelou and illustrated by Basquiat. We will create our own works of art using paint and pastel.
$5 cost will go toward materials.
Saturday, April 28th

Ages 6-10: 10:30-11:30am
