Brazilian saxophonist Daniela Spielmann returns to North City Bistro & Wine Shop on May 1. She will be joined by Brazilian vocalist Adriana Giordano, Barcelona-born pianist Marina Albero, Dean Schmidt on bass and Jeff Busch on drums.
From Rio de Janeiro, saxophonist/flutist Daniela Spielmann is considered one of the best on the Brazilian music scene today. She began playing saxophone at 17 and was always interested in Brazilian music. Her music incorporates choro, frevo, maracatu, samba, bossa nova and jazz.
