The Blue Ridge Music Center presents A Night of Mountain String Band Music from Argentina to Appalachia with Che Apalache and The Camp Creek Boys
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS GIVEN.
Che Apalache Che Apalache is an international bluegrass and old-time music quartet based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The group is led by native North Carolina fiddler and frequent Galax Old Fiddlers Convention participant, Joe Troop. The group formed when Troop moved to Argentina in 2010. While patiently carving out a niche in the local music scene, he taught bluegrass and old-time music for a living. Thats how he met Pau Barjau (banjo), Franco Martino (guitar) and Martin Bobrik (mandolin), who went from his most dedicated students to bandmates.

Cabin Creek Boys The Cabin Creek Boys play old-time hillbilly music from the mountains of Southwest Virginia and northwest North Carolina at area fiddlers conventions, festivals, and square dances. The group entertains audiences with old-time hoedown instrumentals, bluegrass songs, two-step numbers, and waltzes. The group is led by multi-instrumentalist husband and wife duo, Chris and Erika Testerman, with Jackson Cunningham on guitar, Trish Kilby Fore on banjo, and Jerry Steinberg on bass.
