AACE Seattle Section April 12th, 2018 Meeting Best Western Plus Executive Inn 200 Taylor Avenue N. Seattle, WA
PRESENTATION: The Real Leadership Lessons of Steve Jobs!
We know that effective leadership is critical to the success of an organization, but while we all agree in principal that leadership is key, so many organizations (and bosses) are missing the mark. We struggle with a lack of focus. We throw out lots of great ideas but fail to execute well. We make great products, but they dont get the traction we hoped for. To be successful, we must have great companies, filled with great people.
When asked what his most important creation was, Steve Jobs didnt cite the iPhone, or the Mac, or any other product. He named Apple itself. Making an enduring company, he said, was both harder and more important than making an excellent product.
At our April Meeting we will have a presentation from Tim Riley, who is a professional colleague of our Section Secretary, Mike Morrison. This will be an interactive presentation with some discussion at the tables and sharing with your table mates. You may be surprised at some of the lessons learned and taught by Steve Jobs.
