Cooking for Compassion and Health - Making Your Own Vegan Cheeses
The hands-on class will expand your repertoire and is for anyone curious in plant-based cooking. Attendees will learn how to make their own easy homemade vegan block cheeses, like mozzarella, pepper jack, brie, and dill havarti.
Class enrollment is limited to 12 people.
Class will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in Chico in a spacious home kitchen in a beautiful and peaceful environment. Food will be served during the event, and no one will go away hungry. The class fee covers the cost of the foods prepared that day and all handouts.
This class is brought to you by Dharma Voices for Animals, Chico Chapter, and Sky Creek Dharma Center, a Buddhist meditation space.
A recommended cookbook is Non-Dairy Evolution by Chef Skye Michael Conroy. Many of the recipes we will be cooking are from his book.
