Paul Sanchez and Andy Anderson
Paul Edward Sanchez
Songwriter/musician

Armed with words and music, award-winning songwriter Paul Edward Sanchez has been fighting the good fight with his original songs for over thirty years. Influenced by a variety of musical styles, Paul's music is uniquely his own. His songs contain elements from a wide variety of musical interests, from Bluegrass and Cajun to popular music and contemporary folk, expressing his impressions of the hopes and struggles of the people in the world around him, at times showing off his dry and witty humor, and at others sharing the deeper emotions within himself.

Paul's songs have taken him around the United States to the diverse venues of churches and music festivals, radio and television programs, coffeehouses and county fairs. Hes opened concerts for musicians including Ricky Skaggs, Lucinda Williams, and Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer. Paul has performed at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the Troubadour and Cafe Largo in Los Angeles, and on the main stage at the Kerrville Folk Music Festival in Texas. His songs have been recorded and performed by a number of folk musicians.

Involved in many songwriting competitions, Paul won at the Napa Valley Folk Music Festival, the Columbia River Folk Music Festival, and the Artichoke Music Folk Festival in Portland, Oregon. He was a finalist at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado. Three of Paul's songs were released by the Smithsonian Institution's Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. Paul has two songs on Songs for Sisters, a compilation album benefitting the Sisters of the Road Cafe, an organization which provides meals to the homeless population of Portland, Oregon.

Paul has released five CDs and is currently working on a new album tentatively titled One Farmboy. Hes a native of Ventura County, California, and currently lives in Portland, Oregon, where he enjoys the laid-back culture, while irritating neighbors by playing Beach Boys songs on the banjo.

Andy Anderson
Songwriter/storyteller/guitarist
When asked what the most important tools in the box are for songwriting, Andy replies, "Honesty and bravery. I hope I have them. It takes both to connect with people in storytelling and songwriting."

Andy's strong, baritone voice captivates a room...his linear storytelling songs can be joyous, in an everyman sort of way, or tragic in a real-world sense. "It's amazing, or maybe I should say it's rewarding when someone approaches you after a show and talks about a particular song...they've been waiting all night to tell you their story on the subject. It's something to see how we are all alike. We all have our pretty feathers and our warts. Human nature."

"Andy brings characters to life in vivid colors, against an easy acoustic guitar background." -- Teri Robinson, Editor/Filmmaker NYC

"Andy's well-crafted songs shine like gems as they tug at your heart. The poise with which he addresses the audience, his formidable guitar chops, and his pleasant voice, all combine to assure the listener that their ears are in good care. Andy Anderson is definitely his own man as a singer-songwriter, but listening to him I was reminded of the late, great Steve Goodman in as much as this level of skill is rare." -- Jack McMahon, Songwriter/Producer

"Andy Anderson has a gift for storytelling in a direct, emotionally accessible way." -- Michael Henchman, Singer/Songwriter

Andy lives in Portland, Oregon. Shreveport, Louisiana is his hometown.
