Puppet Show CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS
The famous, and humorous, musical score written by Saint Saens in 1886 was first performed publicly in 1921. Since then this score has been used the world over to introduce children to classical music. In our production, Saint-Saens' music forms the backdrop for a wonderful marionette puppet show by the Fratello puppeteers! The thirty minute performance includes fairytales familiar to all: "The Three Little Pigs", "The Ugly Duckling" and the famous competition of "The Tortoise and The Hare." The production i allowing the classical score to shine. The music inspires the movement of the puppets, as the puppets reinforce the music.
Suitable for children (and parents) of all ages. We encourage our young audience to sit up close as the show is very engaging with the lively and colorful puppet characters! Complimentary cookies and juice served before the show!
Learning opportunities include: Learning, as does the Hare, that hard work is as important as confidence, and from The Tortoise, to focus on one's goals, which will lead to success. And, learning, as do The Pigs, never to underestimate the power of teamwork! All of this with wonderful music and superb puppetry!
A very popular event!
