Advanced Improv Scene Class
John Haynes, Director of The Creative Institute will be teaching an advanced Improv Scene Class for five Saturdays in April and May. The class will meet April 25, May 2, May 9, May 16, and May 23 from 10 am 12 pm.
Classes meet at The Camp Bar Cabaret Theater on N Robert St in St. Paul.
Cost for the class is $125.00 - Full and Partial Scholarships available
This class is designed to help those who are presently performing improv or have previous improv training and are looking to step up their skills for the stage. The class will focus on each students goals for improving what they already do and offer insights into the finer points of solid improv scene work. The class will culminate with a showcase performance.
John Haynes is the director of The Creative Institute at the Actors Theater of Minnesota. Formally the Director of the Brave New Institute School of Improvisation, John brings over 15 years experience to his classes. John performs improvisation regularly in the Twin Cities with Stevie Ray's Improv Company; he has been a company member with The Mystery Café Comedy Dinner Theater as well as performing his one-man improv structure "Voices in My Head". John is also the co-creator of the popular improv duo Police Cop Detective PI.
