RegenerAsian: Healing Ourselves through Our Stories
Our stories always bring us home to ourselves, giving us perspective, hope for healing, and our future.
Eth-Noh-Tec and special guests will perform the stories that inspire communities to restore faith in our own ability to heal and move forward in powerful ways.
Choosing from their repertoire of Asian and Asian American stories, the evening includes an excerpt from Red Altar, the true story of how three generations of Chinese fishermen, beginning in Monterey 1850, continuously re-invented themselves as they faced local and federal discriminatory laws and violence, in order to succeed as Americans. This is our history, and it is our destiny.
