ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
When applying for grants, residencies, calls, or other opportunities, curators, panelists, and jurors make decisions largely based on work samples. Quality documentation is essential to creating a strong portfolio and can often make a difference in whether or not your work is selected. In this hands-on workshop, multidisciplinary artist Jenny Hyde and photographer Laree Weaver lead you through the process of lighting, staging, and shooting your work and provide instruction on basic camera settings and technical aspects to capture the ideal image. Participants will leave the workshop with portfolio-quality documentation that can be used in submissions, on your website, or for archiving purposes.

*PLEASE NOTE: Each hour-long session will include 3-4 artists. You can only sign up for one session. Please bring up to 5 works to be photographed and a flash drive or storage device. Laptops optional. 2D and 3D work welcome. Ideal for artists interested in applying for Artist Trust's upcoming GAP Award and other upcoming opportunities, artists who want to archive their work, or artists in need of high-quality documentation for their websites, social media, Etsy shops, and various online channels.

Partial need-based, Filipinx, and Latinx scholarships are available by request.

Refunds & Transfers:

Artist Trust reserves the right to cancel any program. If cancelled, a full refund will be applied. If a participant needs to cancel for a paid program, the following policy will apply:

A full refund can be issued if notified 5 days prior to the program date.
A transfer credit of equal or lesser value can be issued if notified within 48 hours of program. Credit will be valid for up to 12 months.

Artist Trust cannot provide refunds for missed classes. Please contact the coordinator if you have any questions regarding specific content of the workshop.
