WORKSHOP: GUNS IN AMERICA / DANCE
Dancer/Choreographer Jamal Jackson leads a workshop on creating movement in response to the impact guns have on us both socially and psychically. JJDCs recent work ROB DAY creates a unique voice and movement language for this powerful inanimate object and also looks at how it affects people from all walks of life. We will investigate some of the narratives that helped shape the movement within ROB DAY as well as form new movement structures based on narratives shared by the participants of the workshop.
Workshops are for ages 16 and up PLEASE NOTE: Pre-registration is requested. Admission is free.
