Los Pleneros de la 21
Villa Victoria Center for the Arts, a program of IBA - Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción, presents a concert of traditional music and dance from Puerto Rico by the acclaimed Los Pleneros de la 21. Celebrating and promoting Puerto Rican culture nationally and internationally, Los Pleneros de la 21 is considered to be the most important Bomba and Plena troupe in the continental United States. Founded in 1983 in the South Bronx by Juan Gutiérrez, Los Pleneros de la 21 have an extensive career in community work, in addition to their performances, offering programs to youth, adults and elders.
