This is a Tesla coiling workshop with a heavy emphasis on solid state Tesla coil designs. Topics of discussion will include the basics (safety, resonance and Tesla's original spark gap design), gate drive transformer design and optimizations, various feedback methods for forcing perfect ZVS/ZCS, IGBT vs. MOSFET power switch applications, designing your own HV/low ESR/ESL capacitors, AC mains filtering to protect the electronics in your home/office, low voltage DC powered coils, and musical modulation of plasma. She'll also do a short demo of the handheld 18V battery powered musical Tesla gun.
