Lumina's talented Ensemble is proud to present Passion Play: an exhilarating, witty, and profound exploration of human passions and the search for meaning that transcends the ages.
Hailed by The New Yorker's John Lahr as "extraordinary," "bold," and "inventive," Sarah Ruhl's Passion Play takes us behind the scenes of three very different communities attempting to stage the passion and death of Christ. The first in Elizabethan England, the second in Nazi controlled German, and finaly in South Dakota during the Vietnam War and its aftermath.
Lumina's Ensemble invites you to experience this prize-winning playwright's work called by Backstage "the most exciting, stimulating, and thrilling piece of theatre to hit New Yrok since Angels in America".
