Music in the Making Concert
Guest Conductor-in-Residence Deborah A. Mello
This unique event begins with a Saturday workshop focusing on For The Love Of Singing. featuring The Gift To Sing, Psalm 8, Dreamers of Dreams, and Amani. Deborah A. Mello is the Founder & Artistic Director of the Childrens Chorus of Sussex County. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the New Jersey Governors Award for Arts in Education and the inaugural Distinguished Music Educator Award from Yale University. She also teaches at Montclair State University. The MIM Concert showcases participating school and community treble choirs each presenting a solo set and concludes with Deborah A. Mello conducting the combined choirs presenting The Gift To Sing, Psalm 8, Dreamers of Dreams, and Amani.
