London, September 3, 1939. Air raid sirens drown out a BBC broadcast, signaling England's entrance into World War II. The reach for gas masks interrupts a heated debate in which opposing views about God and the meaning of life collide. In this imagined battle of wits between C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud, can two great minds find a common humanity as they face the impending crisis?
