Adoremus: Hymns for the Blessed Sacrament
Inspired by the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacraments namesake, this concert presents works based on Eucharistic texts, with a particular focus on those written by St. Thomas Aquinas for the institution of the Feast of Corpus Christi in the 13th century. Highlighting the talents of the Capella Antiqua choir and organist Rexphil Rallanka, the hymns and anthems of this program will provide a survey of this art form throughout the musical world, featuring favorites like Mozarts jubilant Laudate Dominum alongside lesser-known masterworks such as Gerald Finzis rapturous Lo, the Full, Final Sacrifice.
