Bellegarde will be hosting a Pizza Class Sunday, March 25th, from 12pm-5pm. Join our resident Pizzaiolis Morgan Angelle & Alex Valore to learn about making pizza dough with fresh flours milled here at Bellegarde and toppings sourced from local vendors and growers.
This course is suitable for cooks and bakers of all levels of experience. The focus will be on choosing the right flours, yeast vs. sourdough, topping ratios, stretching and tossing, and finally baking like a pro in your home oven. Learn to make Pizza Napolitana, Pizza Al Taglio, as well as doughs made with alternative wheat flours like Durum and Rye.
Each student will make a minimum of 3 pizzas that will be topped and baked during class as well as dough that can be taken home to bake at a later time. Students will also be provided with recipes and class outline and are encouraged to take notes.
A vegetarian lunch, refreshments, and all the pizza you can eat will be provided. 18 yrs old and up please.
