FRINGE 2018 ends the month of March celebration of Womens History Month is the Women Rising concerts. Featuring contemporary dance through the lens of the female choreographers. Background History Los Angeles, 1910-2018 1910s SoCal women create a new dance art form modern dance. Isadora Duncan and Ruth St Denis leading pioneers are from SoCal 1960s Bella Lewitzky founds her world famous touring company in LA 2018 LAs concert contemporary dance scene is powered mostly by females (local companies, writers, festival producers, educators, touring companies, studio owners)
