The Moon Glimmers, Richard James and Anne Shorr, are a guitar duo that blend blues, folk country and psychedelic rock with both tenderness and grit. Each lend their unique perspective to songs, weaving guitar tones and textures and trading vocals. The Moon Glimmers often invite other artists to be part of their sound. This show will feature the talents of Memphis Singer/Songwriter, Jeremy Scott.
Lights May Flicker will kick off the night's event featuring Doug Walker: keyboards, Geoff Smith: bass, Jason Barnett: guitar, Mark Miller: drums
"Lights May Flicker is made from flour (sometimes egg is added for more flavor). Traditionally, the band is hand-kneaded and torn into smaller pieces (about 2 inches). Nowadays, the band can be kneaded using a machine into a variety of shapes, the most common shape being power-pop."
These guys will share the limelight with J Lively. At 26, she's working on some music at Ardent and has pulled together an impressive band featuring Adam Hill, Daniel McKee and Paul Taylor. Lively not only has a distinct voice with a touch of rasp that captivates while singing covers and original music, but also plays ukulele, guitar, and piano live.
Doors at 6:30 Show starts promptly at 7 pm. BYOB Plan to Uber or Lyft- no street parking available but the vibe is worth the extra step.
